Eva-dry E-333 Mini Dehumidifier Review

Small and Stealthy: The Best Portable Mini Dehumidifier Hands Down!

You may have noticed many of the reviews I have on my website center around dehumidifiers that are best suited for homes with large rooms or basements. The models I have singled out are effective, but there are cases when buying one like this might be overkill.

For example, if you’re into sports like I am you may find yourself in a bit of a pickle with your gym bag. We all know how damp, sweaty clothes and shoes can be a recipe for disaster, and it can be hard to get rid of that unpleasant odor. This is where the Eva-dry Renewable E-333 Wireless Mini Dehumidifier comes in!

Facts You Need to Know

I’m going to tell you right off the bat: this little dehumidifier is one of the best bangs for buck units I have come across while doing my research.

As opposed to your standard dehumidifiers where size does matter, this one takes a different approach. The unit is compact and completely portable since it has no wires, and it doesn’t require any batteries to run it either. Oh, and if you are going to use it around the home, it will deal with humidity in rooms up to 333 cubic feet in size.

Silica Gel Technology

Unlike refrigerant dehumidifiers, this is a desiccant dehumidifier which means it employs renewable silica gel technology. The whole design of the unit is fairly simple. There are no fans or compressors, which means there is no noise whatsoever.
As the silica gel crystals absorb moisture, the color of the crystals begins to change from blue to pink. Once they turn pink, it has reached full capacity which is somewhere between 4 and 6 ounces of water.

Now, here comes the clever bit! Once it does get full, which can take anywhere between two and four weeks, you don’t have to worry about spilling a drop of water. Simply plug it into any electrical socket and let it do its thing for 10 hours, preferably in an area where the air can circulate freely. After that, the crystals turn blue again and the dehumidifier is ready to be used. The average life span for these crystals is around 10 years which I think is pretty impressive!

You Can Use it Anywhere

Because of its small dimensions and the fact there are no wires, this dehumidifier is perfect for use in a mobile home for example. As said, you can use it to get rid of the smell inside your gym bag, but you can do the same thing in your gym locker as well. For the home, you can place it underneath a sink to prevent mold from developing, or inside a closet to keep clothes dry and fresh. You can even place it inside a safe so your valuables are not just protected from thieves but moisture as well.

If, like me you use a front-loading washing machine you’ll know they can get a bit funky, and when leaving the door open doesn’t do the trick you can use the E-333 to get rid of the smell. This helps your nasal passages and prolongs the life of the components in your washer as well. I apologize for sounding like an infomercial, but the list is almost endless! Of course, you can use it in the bedroom where it really shines since it doesn’t make a single sound.

The Final Word

This mini “humidity fighting” device is one of the most affordable dehumidifiers I’ve found on the market, but don’t let that fool you because it’s very effective. Because the price is so good, you can buy several and set them to work in different places at the same-time.

The added bonus is you don’t have worry about noise, hook it up to a drain or mess around with emptying water. Plus, it comes with a 5-year warranty which I think speaks for itself! If this dehumidifier tickles your fancy, you can find one on Amazon at an unbeatably low price.
